We can build a more efficient internet

The idea of the internet living in the cloud, gives us a false sense of what it really is. The cloud lives on earth, just like the rest of us.

The internet is currently home to over a billion websites¹ and a whopping ~8 million data centres² powering them. Even with some of those centres being powered by renewable energy, we still use raw materials to build them.

By reducing what we store in the cloud, we give ourselves more room to live and play.
